Seismic Response of Rock Slopes with the Anchor Cable in Centrifuge Modeling Tests
In order to study the seismic response of the rock slopes with the anchor cable, centrifuge modeling tests were performed on concrete slope models. Different seismic loadings were performed to investigate the horizontal acceleration response, the rock ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Pile-Reinforcement Behavior of Cohesive Soil Slopes: Numerical Modeling and Centrifuge Testing
Centrifuge model tests were conducted on pile-reinforced and unreinforced cohesive soil slopes to investigate the fundamental behavior and reinforcement mechanism. A finite element analysis model was established and confirmed to be effective in capturing

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Centrifuge modelling of unsaturated soils
The use of centrifuge modeling where unsaturated soils are involved is more limited than its use in problems involving dry sand or saturated clays. This limitation is certainly due to the well-known experimental complexities related with unsaturated ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Centrifuge Modeling and Numerical Simulation of Air Sparging Process
Air sparging (AS) is one of the in-situ groundwater remediation techniques for remediating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) contaminated soil, and the knowledge of air flow features is essential in designing air sparging system for soil remediation. The
