Reaction of carboxylic acids on CeO2(111) and CeO2(100)

open access: yesCatalysis Today, 1996
The reactions of HCOOH and CH3COOH on CeO2(111) and CeO2(100) were studied using temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and high resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (HREELS). The carboxylic acids were found to dissociate on both surfaces to form carboxylates.

Gold catalysts supported on CeO2 and CeO2–Al2O3 for NO reduction by CO

open access: yesApplied Catalysis B: Environmental, 2006
The reduction of NOx by CO was studied over gold catalyst supported on ceria and ceria-alumina. The mixed supports with different CeO2/ Al2O3 ratios were prepared by co-precipitation. The catalysts were characterized by means of XRD, TPR, XPS and Raman spectroscopy.

The tuned selective catalytic reduction behaviors of NO over the Pt/CeO2 catalysts by preferentially exposing different facets of CeO2 supports

open access: yesCatalysis Communications, 2022
For the Pt catalysts supported on CeO2 nanosheet (NS), nanopolyhedron (NP) and nanorod (NR) with preferentially exposed {100}, {111} and {110} facets, respectively, the NO conversion and N2 selectivity for NO + CO reaction at 100–250 °C exhibit the order

Synthesis and Applications of Polymorphic CeO2 and AgI/CeO2 Nanocomposites

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science: Materials in Engineering
Abstract This paper delves into the innovative synthesis of various morphologies of CeO₂, including flower-like, spherical, quasi-spherical, and rod-shaped, as well as AgI/CeO₂ composites. Utilizing cold coprecipitation and one-pot hydrothermal methods, a range of CeO₂ and highly efficient photocatalytic AgI/CeO₂ composites were successfully ...

Multi-shelled CeO2 hollow microspheres as superior photocatalysts for water oxidation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A general self-templating method is introduced to construct triple-shelled CeO2 hollow microspheres, which are composed of tiny CeO2 nanoparticles. When the triple-shelled CeO2 hollow microspheres are used as photocatalysts for direct water oxidation ...

CeO2-TiO2 Photocatalyst: Ionic Liquid-Mediated Synthesis, Characterization, and Performance for Diisopropanolamine Visible Light Degradation

open access: yesBulletin of Chemical Reaction Engineering & Catalysis, 2018
CeO2-TiO2 photocatalyst with Ce:Ti molar ratio of 1:9 was synthesized via co-precipitation method in the presence of 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium octylsulfate, [EMIM][OctSO4] (CeO2-TiO2-IL). The ionic liquid acts as a templating agent for particle growth.

CeO2–Al2O3, CeO2–SiO2, CeO2–TiO2 core-shell spheres: formation mechanisms and UV absorption

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2012
In this work, a general colloid synthesis method for CeO2–Al2O3, CeO2–SiO2, and CeO2–TiO2 core-shell spheres was reported. The properties of these CeO2-based composites were greatly dependent on the additive species. A diffusion-controlled kinetic model was applied to explore the morphology and crystallinity evolution of these core-shell spheres.
