We present the first gri -band period–luminosity (PL) and period–Wesenheit (PW) relations for the fundamental mode anomalous Cepheids. These PL and PW relations were derived from a combined sample of five anomalous Cepheids in globular cluster M92 and ...

The ARAUCARIA project. Discovery of Cepheid Variables in NGC 300 from a Wide-Field Imaging Survey [PDF]
Based on observations of NGC 300, obtained with the Wide-Field Camera at the 2.2 m ESO/MPI telescope during 29 nights spread over a 5.3 month interval, 117 Cepheids and 12 Cepheid candidates were found which cover the period range from 115 to 5.4 days ...

ABSTRACT Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women worldwide, with higher prevalence in low‐resource countries due to limited access to screening and HPV vaccination. Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) such as Xpert HPV (Cepheid), enable rapid detection of high‐risk HPV (HR‐HPV) genotypes.

We present a method for solving the light curve of an eclipsing binary system that contains a Cepheid variable as one of its components as well as the solutions for three eclipsing Cepheids in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). A geometric model is constructed in which the component stars are assumed to be spherical and on circular orbits.

Mass of Cepheid V350 Sgr Incorporating Interferometry and the Companion Mass
The system V350 Sgr has a classical Cepheid for the primary. Interferometry is presented for the system, and the full orbit is determined. The mass of the companion has been determined from an International Ultraviolet Explorer spectrum and comparison ...

Catalog of Integrated-light Star Cluster Light Curves in TESS
We present the first integrated-light, TESS-based light curves for star clusters in the Milky Way, Small Magellanic Cloud, and Large Magellanic Cloud. We explore the information encoded in these light curves, with particular emphasis on variability.

RR Lyrae Stars In The GCVS Observed By The Qatar Exoplanet Survey [PDF]
We used the light curve archive of the Qatar Exoplanet Survey (QES) to investigate the RR Lyrae variable stars listed in the General Catalogue of Variable Stars (GCVS).

ABSTRACT Nearly all cervical cancer cases are caused by high‐risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) infections. The World Health Organization recommends screening for hrHPV using nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) that detect hrHPV DNA or mRNA. Lack of access to affordable, point‐of‐care screening tests in resource‐limited settings leads to women ...

A search for variable stars with ultra-low amplitudes (ULA), in the millimag range, has been made in the combined MACHO and OGLE data bases in the broad vicinity of the Cepheid instability strip in the HR diagram. A total of 25 singly periodic and 4 multiply periodic ULA objects has been uncovered.
