DOTA‐grafted Cationic Polymers Behaving as Powerful Macromolecular Resistance‐reversal Agents (MRRAs) Combating Against New Delhi Metallo‐β‐lactamase (NDM)‐producing Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 27, 13 May 2026.
Two macromolecular resistance‐reversal agents (MRRAs)—linear (MRRAL) and nanostructured (MRRAN) polymers were fabricated by integrating DOTA motifs into tunable polycationic scaffolds. MRRAs exhibit superior antibacterial potency once combined with meropenem (MEM) through (i) bacterial membrane disruption via localized cationic charge and ...

Fundamentalization of Periods for First- and Second-overtone Classical Cepheids

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Almost half of all classical Cepheids do not pulsate in fundamental mode, and nowadays, the fundamentalization of their higher-mode periods is frequently applied to increase the sample size in astrophysical investigations and allow for comparison with ...

Paediatric and Adult Solid Tumours Exhibiting NTRK Gene Fusions in Australia, 2020–2044: A Population‐Based Statistical Modelling Study

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
We projected 1‐year to 5‐year cancer prevalence associated with NTRK gene fusions in Australia, from 2020 to 2044, for all paediatric cancers combined (age < 18 years at diagnosis), all adult solid cancers combined, 18 cancer types/groups, and 5 cancer sub‐types relevant to current Australian government subsidies of TRK inhibitors.

Classification of Periodic Variable Stars from TESS

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
The number of known periodic variable stars has increased rapidly in recent years. As an all-sky transit survey, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) plays an important role in detecting low-amplitude variable stars.

Molecular Characterization of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Isolates From West of Iran Using Mycobacterial Interspersed Repetitive Unit‐Variable Number Tandem Repeats: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health problem and poses significant challenges for diagnosis and treatment. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of molecular methods for the diagnosis and genotyping of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC).

Stellar Pulsation and Evolution: A Combined Theoretical Renewal and Updated Models (SPECTRUM). I. Updating Radiative Opacities for Pulsation Models of Classical Cepheid and RR-Lyrae

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Pulsating stars are universally recognized as precise distance indicators and tracers of stellar populations. Their variability, combined with well-defined relationships between pulsation properties and intrinsic evolutionary parameters such as ...

Extended Genotyping as Triage of HPV Positive Screened Women in Low‐and‐Middle Income Countries

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 98, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Cervical cancer screening coverage in low‐ and middle‐income countries is low, and many screened women are lost to follow‐up. Point‐of‐care testing that allows same‐day treatment could reduce the incidence of this cancer, but same‐day triage testing is required to prevent overtreatment and minimise loss‐to‐follow‐up before treatment.

The MACHO project Large Magellanic Cloud variable star inventory. XII. Three Cepheid variables in eclipsing binaries

open access: yes, 2002
We present a method for solving the light curve of an eclipsing binary system that contains a Cepheid variable as one of its components as well as the solutions for three eclipsing Cepheids in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC).
