Classification of Periodic Variable Stars from TESS
The number of known periodic variable stars has increased rapidly in recent years. As an all-sky transit survey, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) plays an important role in detecting low-amplitude variable stars.

ABSTRACT Background Drug‐resistant tuberculosis remains a major public health challenge in Lao PDR, with low second‐line treatment uptake and suboptimal outcomes. To improve effectiveness, safety, and tolerability, a shorter all‐oral regimen for multidrug‐ and rifampicin‐resistant tuberculosis (MDR/RR‐TB) was introduced under the TDR Short, all‐Oral ...

Non-particle dark matter from Hubble parameter
The measurements of the Hubble parameter using the cosmic microwave background radiation appear to be inconsistent with the measurements of this parameter using Cepheid variable stars.

Observations of the resolved stars obtained over a period of 11 years in the Local Group dwarf irregular galaxy Pegasus have been used to search for Cepheid variable stars. Images were obtained in 55 epochs in the V band and in 24 epochs in the I band. We have identified 26 Cepheids and have obtained their light curves and periods.

Rebound of Respiratory Virus Activity and Seasonality to Pre‐Pandemic Patterns
ABSTRACT The emergence of SARS‐CoV‐2 and the implementation of non‐pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) profoundly disrupted the transmission dynamics of respiratory viruses, altering their epidemiology and seasonality. However, comprehensive long‐term data on these shifts and their post‐pandemic implications remain limited.

Variable Stars in M31 Stellar Clusters from the Panchromatic Hubble Andromeda Treasury
Variable stars in stellar clusters can offer key constraints on stellar evolution and pulsation models, utilizing estimates of host cluster properties to constrain stellar physical parameters.

Saliva and Anterior Nasal Samples for Detecting Respiratory Viruses in Children
ABSTRACT For detecting respiratory viruses, a nasopharyngeal swab sample for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays has been the benchmark. Less discomfort related to sampling is requested especially for children, and thus other sample types have been suggested.

The Draco Dwarf spheroidal (dSph) galaxy is one of the nearest and the most dark-matter-dominated satellites of the Milky Way. We obtained multiepoch near-infrared (NIR, JHK _s ) observations of the central region of Draco dSph covering a sky area of ∼21′
