The behaviour of the cercaria of Cryptocotyle lingua
Zeitschrift f�r Parasitenkunde, 1974The cercaria of Cryptocotyle lingua responds to the onset of mechanical vibrations and to a decrease in light intensity by an increase in activity. The cercaria shows a decline in activity with age and an increase in activity with increasing temperature. Stimulation by host extract also initiates an increase in activity and penetration behaviour.
