ROLE OF POSTERIOR CEREBRAL ARTERY IN CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASE
Doppler (TCD) were performed. Risk factors were assessed by lipidogram, blood glucose, and presence of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. There were 20 (60.6%) men and 13 (39.4%) women aged 60-80 years. In most patients (57.6%), brain CT revealed lesions in other areas beside the one in the territory of PCA.

Homocysteine as a risk factor of ischemic heart disease development (review) [PDF]

Carotid arteries in cerebral small vessel disease and dementia
Abstract Carotid artery disease (CAD) is a recognised cause of stroke. However, the relationships between CAD, cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) and dementia remain unclear. We hypothesised that CAD in older individuals contributes to cerebral SVD pathology by altering cerebral perfusion.

Defining Features of Gabriele‐de Vries Syndrome in Adults: A Case Report and Literature Review
ABSTRACT Gabriele‐de Vries syndrome (GADEVS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder caused by heterozygous pathogenic variants in the YY1 gene. Like most rare genetic syndromes, the adult manifestations of GADEVS remain poorly defined. Here, we describe the oldest patient reported to date with GADEVS—a 63‐year‐old woman with a c.1177_1179del YY1 variant ...
