Evaluation of the antitumor potential of cerebrolysin

Zhurnal nevrologii i psikhiatrii im. S.S. Korsakova, 2016
To investigate the effect of cerebrolysin on the growth and metastasis of malignant tumors in mice (a model of lung carcinoma Lewis). The study was performed on 60 male mice, hybrids F1 (the age of 2-2.5 months, body weight 19-22g.). Transplantable epidermoid Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) was used as a standard experimental model to evaluate the properties

Preparation and Evaluation of the Pegylated Cerebrolysin

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Four kinds of brain active peptide (BAP) in Cerebrolysin were effectively modified by mPEG-ALD5000 of single molecule. At pH = 5.0, 25°C, with Cerebrolysin (injection)/mPEG-ALD5000 feed ratio of 5 mL : 1 g, the modification rate reached 72.805% after 30 min.

Antioxidant systemic effect of short-term Cerebrolysin® administration

1998
Levels of catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity were determinate in serum of intact rats (INT) and those with septohippocampal pathway lesion (SHPL), which received Cerebrolysin (CRB) or saline solution (SAL) for a week. We found that Cerebrolysin induces a decrease on the CAT and SOD levels.

Efficacy of Cerebrolysin® in Alzheimer’s disease

1994
Background. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) accounts for about half of all cases of senile dementia. Its prevelance increases steeply with age, from less than 1% at 60 to 15% in the 9th decade. The disease causes great suffering to patients and their families, and huge costs to society. Four million patients suffer from AD in the USA alone.

REMOVED: Nanodelivery of cerebrolysin reduces pathophysiology of Parkinson's disease

2019
Parkinson's disease (PD) is affecting >10 million people worldwide for which no suitable cure has been developed so far. Roughly, about two people per thousand populations are affected with PD like symptoms especially over the age of 50. About 1% of the populations above 60 years suffer from PD-like disease.
