Data error analysis in unconstrained optimization problems with the CESTAC method
Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, 1988This paper is concerned with the solution of optimization problems that depend on inexact data from a known distribution: how does the solution depend on the data? A method to estimate mean and standard deviation of the distribution of the solution is proposed. This method is about three times as expensive as a single optimization.

Testing Stochastic Arithmetic and CESTAC Method Via Polynomial Computation
2007The CESTAC method and its implementation known as CADNA software have been created to estimate the accuracy of the solution of real life problems when these solutions are obtained from numerical methods implemented on a computer. The method takes into account uncertainties on data and round-off errors.

Summary: One of the schemes to find the optimal shape parameter and optimal number of points in the radial basis function (RBF) methods is to apply the stochastic arithmetic (SA) in place of the common floating-point arithmetic (FPA). The main purpose of this work is to introduce a reliable approach based on this new arithmetic to compute the local ...

First parallel implementation of the CESTAC Method with self validation
2004With the CESTAC method, which allows to validate numerical computation, one needs to run the code several times (in practice 3 times). The CADNA library (Control of Accuracy and Debugging for Numerical Applications) proposes a sequential and synchronous implementation of the CESTAC method.
