Interaction of Cetylpyridinium Chloride with Giant Lipid Vesicles

Langmuir, 2005
The interaction of cationic surfactant cetylpyridinium chloride, CPC, with giant lipid vesicles prepared from 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoylphosphatidylcholine, POPC, was examined at various concentrations of the lipid component. The lipid concentration was determined by a spectrophotometric method.

Inactivation Kinetics of Mushroom Tyrosinase by Cetylpyridinium Chloride

Journal of Protein Chemistry, 2003
Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) was found to inactivate tyrosinase from mushroom (Agaricus bisporus). CPC can bind to the enzyme molecule and induce the enzyme conformation changes. The fluorescence intensity (at 338.4 nm) of the enzyme decreased distinctly with increasing CPC concentrations, and a new little fluorescence emission peak appeared near 372

Adsorption of chromate and molybdate by cetylpyridinium bentonite

Applied Clay Science, 2008
Abstract Bentonite was modified with cetylpyridinium bromide (CPBr) and investigated by elemental analysis, IR, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, specific surface area (BET) and electrokinetic mobility measurements. The surfactant was adsorbed on the montmorillonite in a bilayer structure. The organo-bentonite removed the oxyanions of Cr(

Sequential titrations of anions with cetylpyridinium chloride

Fresenius' Zeitschrift für analytische Chemie, 1988
The recently reported sequential titration of perchlorate and iodide vs. nitron was critically examined and improved. Some possible sequential titrations of anions vs. cetylpyridinium chloride were examined. Up to four separate endpoint breaks for four groups of anions were obtained.
