Regioselective glucosylation of inositols catalyzed by Thermoanaerobacter sp. CGTase

Carbohydrate Research, 2012
Monoglucosylated products of L-chiro-, D-chiro-, muco-, and allo-inositol were synthesized by regioselective α-D-glucosylation with cyclodextrin glucosyl transferase from Thermoanaerobacter sp. after hydrolysis of by products with Aspergillus niger glucoamylase.

Screening For Gamma-Cgtase

1996
CGTase positive alkalophilic microorganisms were selected by parallel application of two screening techniques based on colorimetric distinction of the colonies at the cultivation plate level. One of the techniques uses Congo red and xylene cyanole dyes which form a clear halo only in the presence of γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CD), whereas the other uses ...

Exploring unfolding pathway of CGTase: insight from molecular dynamics simulation.

Rivista di biologia, 2010
Thermostability of proteins in general and especially thermophilic proteins has been subject of a wide variety of studies based on theoretical and experimental investigation. Thermostability seems to be a property obtained through many minor structural modifications.

Encapsulation of whole cell CGTase from concentrated broth solution

Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering, 2001
Most of the Cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (Gtases) which have been produced fromB. subtilis were found to be excreted from the cells during cultivation. Immobilized whole cell CGTase fromB. subtilis was prepared by encapsulating the broth solution which had been concentrated ten times with a rotary vacuum evaporator.
