KDM4A Erases the H3R17me2a Mark, Facilitating Chromosome Condensation

This study reveals a reversible histone modification switch governing chromosome condensation during mitosis. PKCα‐activated KDM4A removes H3R17me2a, permitting Suv39h1‐driven H3K9me3 deposition. Sulfakinin Signaling Sense Circulating Fructose and Suppresses Food Consumption via Insulin‐Like Peptide in Bactrocera Dorsalis

This study discovered a new pathway that tells fruit flies when to stop eating. It found that rising blood sugar (fructose) is detected by a sensor called GR43a. This triggers a chain reaction involving the satiety signal sulfakinin and its receptor, ultimately activating a final satiety signal, ILP5.
