پروتئین سیلافین (Silaffin) یکی از پروتئین‌هایی است که در ریزجلبک Chaetoceros به وفور یافت می‌شود. این ماده در صنایع آرایشی، بهداشتی و تغذیه موجودات کاربرد دارد. در این پژوهش به مقایسه سیلافین استخراج شده از دو ریزجلبک Chaetoceros muelleri و Chaetoceros calcitrans پرداخته شده است.
