Activation of TMEM16A Ca2+-activated Cl− channels by ROCK1/moesin promotes breast cancer metastasis
Introduction: Transmembrane protein 16A (TMEM16A) is a Ca2+-activated chloride channel that plays a role in cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis.

On Shor’s Channel Extension and Constrained Channels [PDF]
In this paper we give several equivalent formulations of the additivity conjecture for constrained channels, which formally is substantially stronger than the unconstrained additivity. To this end a characteristic property of the optimal ensemble for such a channel is derived, generalizing the maximal distance property.

A novel model of third phase inclusions on two phase boundaries
A new computationally efficient model of an included phase located at the interface between two other phases is developed by projecting the boundaries of the inclusion onto the boundary between the two other phases.

Joint channel equalisation and channel decoding [PDF]
A non-iterative joint equaliser and decoder scheme is proposed which outperforms the iterative turbo equaliser by ~3.4dB at a BER of 10E-3 over a five-path Gaussian channel.

Detection of fishing pressure using ecological network indicators derived from ecosystem models
Marine ecosystems are exposed to multiple stressors, mainly fisheries that, whenever mismanaged, may cause irreversible damages to whole food webs. Ecosystem models have been applied to forecast fisheries impact on fish stocks and marine food webs. These

We determine, for the first time, the requirement on channel reciprocity to activate uplink channel training, instead of downlink channel training, to achieve a higher data rate for the downlink transmission from a multi-antenna base station to a single ...

Upper Bounds on the Capacities of Noncontrollable Finite-State Channels with/without Feedback
Noncontrollable finite-state channels (FSCs) are FSCs in which the channel inputs have no influence on the channel states, i.e., the channel states evolve freely.

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.
