Capacity of Steganographic Channels [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2005
This work investigates a central problem in steganography, that is: How much data can safely be hidden without being detected? To answer this question, a formal definition of steganographic capacity is presented. Once this has been defined, a general formula for the capacity is developed.

Performance Analysis of MIMO System over an In-home PLC Channel

open access: yesASM Science Journal, 2021
Power line communication (PLC) system is an attractive technology for Smart Grid applications. One key benefit of PLC is its low installation cost because, in PLC technology, we do not need to install any extra cable to extend a network due to the ...

Hybrid zero-capacity channels [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2012
There are only two known kinds of zero-capacity channels. The first kind produces entangled states that have positive partial transpose, and the second one - states that are cloneable. We consider the family of 'hybrid' quantum channels, which lies in the intersection of the above classes of channels and investigate its properties. It gives rise to the

Compact Elliptical UWB Antenna for Underwater Wireless Communications

open access: yesMicromachines, 2021
The increasing needs of free licensed frequency bands like Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), and 5G for underwater communications required more bandwidth (BW) with higher data transferring rate.

Bounds on the Per-Sample Capacity of Zero-Dispersion Simplified Fiber-Optical Channel Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A number of simplified models, based on perturbation theory, have been proposed for the fiber-optical channel and have been extensively used in the literature. Although these models are mainly developed for the low-power regime, they are used at moderate

Improving Streaming Capacity in Multi-Channel P2P VoD Systems via Intra-Channel and Cross-Channel Resource Allocation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, 2012
Multi-channel Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Video-on-Demand (VoD) systems can be categorized into independent-channel P2P VoD systems and correlated-channel P2P VoD systems.

An Approach for Security Enhancement of Certain Encryption Schemes Employing Error Correction Coding and Simulated Synchronization Errors

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
An approach for the cryptographic security enhancement of encryption is proposed and analyzed. The enhancement is based on the employment of a coding scheme and degradation of the ciphertext.

Multipath channels of unbounded capacity [PDF]

open access: yes2008 IEEE 25th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2008
The capacity of discrete-time, non-coherent, multipath fading channels is considered. It is shown that if the delay spread is large in the sense that the variances of the path gains do not decay faster than geometrically, then capacity is bounded in the signal-to-noise ratio.

Convexity of the Capacity of One-Bit Quantized Additive White Gaussian Noise Channels

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this study, the maximum error-free transmission rate of an additive white Gaussian noise channel with a symmetric analog-to-digital converter (ADC) was derived as a composite function of the binary entropy function, Gaussian Q-function, and the square
