Some characteristics of tactile channels

Behavioural Brain Research, 2004
The four information-processing channels of glabrous skin have distinct tuning characteristics which appear to be determined in the periphery at the level of sensory receptors and their afferent nerve fibers. The four-channel model [J Acoust Soc Am 84 (1988) 1680] has been updated to include measurement over a wider frequency range of tuning of the P ...

Characteristics of English-speaking trance channelers

EXPLORE, 2020
Historical records suggest that channeling has existed globally, in a variety of cultures, for thousands of years, and recent research suggests that channeling is more prevalent than most people realize. The present study used an online survey to explore mental health factors, personality characteristics, subjective experiences, and the impact of ...

Propagation channel cluster characteristics

2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007
In this paper, propagation channel cluster characteristics, such as azimuth angle spread, lifetimes, and polarization properties, were analysed. All the analysed data was measured in typical urban microcellular environment, and the parameters of the clusters were extracted manually after beamforming processing. The AS difference between LOS and NLOS in

Permeant cations alter endplate channel characteristics

Nature, 1977
AT amphibian neuromuscular junctions, the binding of acetylcholine to postsynaptic receptors opens endplate channels. An endplate current (e.p.c.) is generated as sodium and potassium ions flow through these channels according to their electrochemical gradients1. In normal conditions the e.p.c. is a net inward current of predominantly sodium ions.
