A survey on deep learning based joint source-channel coding

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2020
Classical information theory shows that separate source-channel coding is asymptotically optimal over a point-to-point channel. As modern communication systems are becoming more sensitive to delays and bandwidth,it becomes difficult to adopt the ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Distributed Joint Source-Channel Coding-Based Adaptive Dynamic Network Coding

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Distributed Source Coding (DSC) schemes rely on separate encoding but joint decoding of statistically dependent sources, which exhibit correlation. More specifically, Distributed Joint Source-Channel coding (DJSC) is associated with the scenario, where ...

Network Coding and Distributed Compression over Large Networks: Some Basic Principles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The fields of Network Coding and Distributed Compression have focused primarily on finding the capacity for families of problems defined by either a broad class of networks topologies (e.g., directed, acyclic networks) under a narrow class of demands (e ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Nested turbo codes for the costa problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Driven by applications in data-hiding, MIMO broadcast channel coding, precoding for interference cancellation, and transmitter cooperation in wireless networks, Costa coding has lately become a very active research area.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Paraunitary oversampled filter bank design for channel coding

open access: yes, 2006
Oversampled filter banks (OSFBs) have been considered for channel coding, since their redundancy can be utilised to permit the detection and correction of channel errors.
