Contourite channels – Facies model and channel evolution
AbstractDespite the rise in published evidence of deep‐marine bottom current processes and associated deposits there are still very few documented outcrop examples. Herein are reported results of a contourite channel system related to the late Miocene palaeo‐Mediterranean Outflow Water in the Rifian Corridor, Morocco.

Wireless multipath clustering is an important area in channel modeling, and an accurate channel model can lead to a reliable wireless environment. Finding the best technique in clustering wireless multipath is still challenging due to the radio channels’

We have explored the permeation and blockage of ions in sodium channels, relating the channel structure to function using electrostatic profiles and Brownian dynamics simulations. The model used resembles the KcsA potassium channel with an added external vestibule and a shorter selectivity filter.

3D channel model in 3GPP [PDF]
Multi-antenna techniques capable of exploiting the elevation dimension are anticipated to be an important air-interface enhancement targeted to handle the expected growth in mobile traffic. In order to enable the development and evaluation of such multi-antenna techniques, the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) has recently developed a 3 ...

Modeling of Ion Channels [PDF]
Modeling of biological ion channels has a long history, going back more then 100 yr ([Hille 1984][1]). In the old, premolecular biology era, interpretation of these simple models provided the primary source of information about channel structure.

We propose a model of calcium channels that can explain most of their observed properties, including the anomalous mole fraction effect and mutation of the glutamate residues. The structure grossly resembles that of the KcsA potassium channel except for the presence of an extracellular vestibule and a shorter selectivity filter containing four ...
