On the Photorefractive Gunn Effect

open access: yes, 1998
We present and numerically solve a model of the photorefractive Gunn effect. We find that high field domains can be triggered by phase-locked interference fringes, as it has been recently predicted on the basis of linear stability considerations.

Amplitude Suppression and Chaos Control in Epileptic EEG Signals [PDF]

open access: yesComputational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, 2006
In this paper we have proposed a novel amplitude suppression algorithm for EEG signals collected during epileptic seizure. Then we have proposed a measure of chaoticity for a chaotic signal, which is somewhat similar to measuring sensitive dependence on initial conditions by measuring Lyapunov exponent in a chaotic dynamical system.

Early Radiation Therapy Response Assessment Using Multi‐Scale Photoacoustic Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tomographic and mesoscopic photoacoustics capture intratumoural features of radioresistance and response. ABSTRACT There is a critical unmet clinical need to identify biomarkers that predict and detect radiation therapy (RT) response in cancer. Using the unique capabilities of multi‐scale photoacoustic imaging (PAI) to depict tumor oxygenation and ...

Information safety by suppression of chaos

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2005
A new original method of information processing and secure communications based on the coding of alphabet symbols by stabilized cycles of certain perturbed one-dimensional dynamical systems is proposed. The foundation of the proposed method is ciphering by the one-to-one correspondence between periods of such cycles and certain alphabet symbols.

AutomataGPT: Transformer‐Based Forecasting and Ruleset Inference for Two‐Dimensional Cellular Automata

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce AutomataGPT, a generative pretrained transformer (GPT) trained on synthetic spatiotemporal data from 2D cellular automata to learn symbolic rules. Demonstrating strong performance on both forward and inverse tasks, AutomataGPT establishes a scalable, domain‐agnostic framework for interpretable modeling, paving the way for future ...

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Spontaneous Multipolar Mitosis Through CIN‐seq

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multipolar mitosis, a hallmark of chromosomal instability (CIN), drives tumor heterogeneity but is challenging to study in live cells. Using CIN‐seq, a single‐cell multiomics method, we profiled rare CIN events and identified mechanisms associated with viable multipolar mitosis, including PTEN attenuation, Rho GTPase‐driven cytokinesis failure, and ...

Multi‐Organelle Stress‐Induced Paraptosis by a ROS‐Amplifying Nanocatalyst for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...

Accelerated Adaptive Backstepping Control of the Chaotic MEMS Gyroscope by Using the Type-2 Sequential FNN

open access: yesIngeniería e Investigación, 2021
In this paper, we propose an accelerated adaptive backstepping control algorithm based on the type2 sequential fuzzy neural network (T2SFNN) for the microelectromechanical system (MEMS) gyroscope with deadzone and constraints.

Quantum compacton vacuum

open access: yes, 2010
We study the properties of classical and quantum compacton chains by means of extensive numerical simulations. Such chains are strongly nonlinear and their classical dynamics remains chaotic at arbitrarily low energies.
