Chemically Engineered L. reuteri Delivering αPD‐L1 and Gallium Ions via Metal‐Phenolic Networks Potentiate Anti‐Tumor Immunity and Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifaceted chemical strategy, integrating bacterial tropism, metal‐ion interference therapy, and immunotherapy, resulted in significant tumor regression in murine models. A pioneering paradigm for the design of biohybrid materials was established, highlighting how sophisticated chemical engineering of living systems can unlock new avenues for ...

Chaos in Control Systems: A Review of Suppression and Induction Strategies with Industrial Applications

open access: yesMathematics
In control systems, chaos is a natural dualistic phenomenon that can be both a beneficial resource to be used and a negative phenomenon to be avoided. The study examines two opposing paradigms: positive chaotic control, which aims to enhance performance,

Controlling Chaos through Compactification in Cosmological Models with a Collapsing Phase

open access: yes, 2005
We consider the effect of compactification of extra dimensions on the onset of classical chaotic "Mixmaster" behavior during cosmic contraction. Assuming a universe that is well-approximated as a four-dimensional Friedmann-Robertson--Walker model (with ...

NQO1‐Mediated Anoikis Resistance and Immune Evasion Define a High‐Risk Multi‐Omic Subtype for Precision Management of T1 High‐Grade Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multi‐omic profiling of T1 high‐grade bladder cancer identifies a high‐risk subtype (T1HG1) driven by NQO1, which couples anoikis resistance with immune evasion. NQO1 orchestrates macrophage–T cell crosstalk suppression via CXCL9 modulation. Pharmacological NQO1 inhibition with skullcapflavone II enhances cisplatin efficacy, representing a promising ...

In Situ Formation of an In–Zn Interface Layer Enables Aqueous Zinc‐Ions Batteries with High Capacity Retention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates an indium zinc oxide (IZO)‐modified separator applied to aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs), which in situ generates an In–Zn interface layer to stabilize the separator/anode region during the cycling process. The In–Zn interface layer provides richer nucleation sites for Zn2+ and suppresses side reactions.

Chaos Suppression in Uncertain Generalized Lorenz–Stenflo Systems via a Single Rippling Controller with Input Nonlinearity

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, a robust control design of chaos suppression is considered for generalized four-dimensional (4D) Lorenz−Stenflo systems subjected to matched/mismatched uncertainties and input nonlinearity. It is implemented by using rippling sliding

Input correlations impede suppression of chaos and learning in balanced firing-rate networks.

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2022
Neural circuits exhibit complex activity patterns, both spontaneously and evoked by external stimuli. Information encoding and learning in neural circuits depend on how well time-varying stimuli can control spontaneous network activity.

Spatiotemporal Chaos in Coupled Map Lattice. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
"sensitive dependence on initial condition", which is the essential feature of chaos is demonstrated through simple Lorenz model. Period doubling route to chaos is shown by analysis of Logistic map and other different route to chaos is discussed ...
