Biomimetic flow-sensor arrays based on the filiform hairs on the cerci of crickets [PDF]
In this paper we report on the latest developments in biomimetic flow-sensors based on the flow sensitive mechano-sensors of crickets. Crickets have one form of acoustic sensing evolved in the form of mechanoreceptive sensory hairs.

Resistor-less charge sensitive amplifier for semiconductor detectors
Abstract A new concept of a Charge Sensitive Amplifier without a high-value resistor in the feedback loop is presented. Basic spectroscopic parameters of the amplifier coupled to a coaxial High Purity Germanium detector (HPGe) are discussed. The amplifier signal input is realized with an n-channel J-FET transistor.

Charge-Sensitive Poly-Silicon TFT Amplifiers for a-Si:H Pixel Particle Detectors [PDF]
ABSTRACTPrototype charge-sensitive poly-Si TFT amplifiers have been made for the amplification of signals (from an a-Si:H pixel diode used as an ionizing particle detector). They consist of a charge-sensitive gain stage, a voltage gain stage and a source follower output stage. The gain-bandwidth product of the amplifier is ∼ 300 MHz. When the amplifier

Exploiting the dynamic properties of FET-based chemical sensors [PDF]
After a long period of mainly static application of ISFETS, other more sophisticated applications are being developed, based on the exploitation of the dynamic properties of ISFETS. Examples are the use of flow-through cells with sample injection and the

Experimental Determination of the Gain Distribution of an Avalanche Photodiode at Low Gains
A measurement system for determining the gain distributions of avalanche photodiodes (APDs) in a low gain range is presented. The system is based on an ultralow-noise charge--sensitive amplifier and detects the output carriers from an APD.
