Charge separation and recombination in isolated supermolecules

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1993
In this paper we consider long-range electron transfer (ET) in a structurally rigid, solvent-free, DBA supermolecule, which consists of a bridged (B) electron donor (D) and electron acceptor (A), exploring the excess vibrational energy (E) dependence of the microscopic ET rates from photoselected states.

Dielectronic recombination of highly charged ions

Physics Letters A, 1971
Abstract Cross sections for dielectronic recombination of C 5+ , O 7+ and Ne 9+ are calculated. The results should be useful in calibration of experiments using beams of highly charged ions produced from Van der Graaff accelerators.

Diffusion-controlled recombination of charged particles

Physics Letters A, 1984
Abstract A theory of diffusion-controlled recombination of charged particles is developed. It becomes evident that at large times the long-range Coulomb interaction acting between particles causes a mean-field behavior of the system. The long-time decay of particle densities and the crossover time from non-classical to mean-field behavior are ...

Recombination of charge carriers at dislocations in germanium

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1973
To describe the recombination of charge carriers in Ge via localized states at dislocations a model is developed which accounts for the temperature dependence of measured lifetimes, incorporating at the same time all the features which have been deduced from electrical measurements. It is shown that electron capture occurs via tunnel states and that in

One-dimensional recombination of charge carriers

Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1983
The first measurement of a one-dimensional relaxation law is reported. The photocurrent decay of the polydiacetylene PDA-10H has been measured in the time range (1-2*104)s. The measurements can be extremely well described by an exp(-bt13/) law, characteristic of deep trapping in a one-dimensional system.
