Electrostatic Field Formed by Charge Separation in Magnetic Reconnection with a Guide Field
The formation of charge separation in antiparallel magnetic reconnection has previously been investigated in S. Hu et al., and the results show that the charge separation arises from the combined effects of the parallel electron flux and the changes in ...

The chiral magnetic wave in an expanding QCD fluid
As a consequence of the chiral anomaly, the hydrodynamics of hot QCD matter coupled to QED allows for a long-wavelength mode of chiral charge density, the chiral magnetic wave (CMW), that provides for a mechanism of electric charge separation along the ...

The Charging Events in Contact-Separation Electrification [PDF]
AbstractContact electrification (CE)—charging of surfaces that are contacted and separated, is a common phenomenon, however it is not completely understood yet. Recent studies using surface imaging techniques and chemical analysis revealed a ‘spatial’ bipolar distribution of charges at the nano dimension, which made a paradigm shift in the field ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Recently, Pt-loaded graphic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) materials have attracted great attention as a photocatalyst for hydrogen evolution from water. The simple surface modification of g-C3N4 by hydrothermal methods improves photocatalytic performance.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Directional charge separation in isolated organic semiconductor crystalline nanowires
Photo-induced charge separation in organic semiconductors usually occurs at interfaces between electron donors and acceptors. Here, the authors show using photoluminescence measurements that charge separation is intrinsic and directional in organic ...

It is highly desired to enhance charge separation and O2 adsorption of the pyropheophorbide-a (Ppa) to promote visible-light activity and stability. Herein, Ppa modified 001-facet-exposed TiO2 nanosheets (Ppa/001T) nanocomposites with different weight ...

Modeling charge separation in charged nanochannels for single-molecule electrometry
We model the transport of electrically charged solute molecules by a laminar flow within a nanoslit microfluidic channel with electrostatic surface potential. We derive the governing convection–diffusion equation, solve it numerically, and compare it with a Taylor–Aris-like approximation, which gives excellent results for small Péclet numbers.
