On the charge storage and decay mechanism in silicon dioxide [PDF]

open access: yes[1991 Proceedings] 7th International Symposium on Electrets (ISE 7), 2002
A mechanism for both the storage and the decay of charge in a charged silicon dioxide layer is proposed. The oxide layer needs neutral traps (NETs) to obtain stable trapped negative charge, after having been charged, resulting in an electret that can be applied in microphones.

Charge Storage Mechanism of LixWO3 Hexagonal Tungsten Bronze in Aqueous Electrolytes

open access: yesBatteries, 2023
The electrochemical behavior of the lithium hexagonal tungsten bronze, LixWO3, is investigated herein. The material was synthesized at a low temperature under hydrothermal conditions, yielding nanorod-like particles with growth along the c-axis.

Confinement Effects on the Rate Performance of Redox Active Molecules for Pseudocapacitive Flowable Electrodes

open access: yesElectrochemistry, 2023
The pseudocapacitive flowable electrodes typically show high energy density because of the contribution of the faradaic charge of redox-active organic materials and the electric double layer charge of carbon materials.

High‐rate sodium‐ion storage of vanadium nitride via surface‐redox pseudocapacitance

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Materials, 2023
Vanadium nitride (VN) electrode displays high‐rate, pseudocapacitive responses in aqueous electrolytes, however, it remains largely unclear in nonaqueous, Na+‐based electrolytes.
