Charge‐Transfer Efficiency of WFPC2

Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1999
ABSTRACT Observations of ω Centauri have been used to characterize the charge‐transfer efficiency (CTE) of the Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC2) on board the Hubble Space Telescope. A set of formulae has been developed to correct aperture photometry for CTE loss with dependencies on the X‐ and Y‐positions, the background counts, the brightness ...

Water charges and irrigation efficiencies

Irrigation and Drainage Systems, 1990
Charging farmers for irrigation water is generally believed to lead to a more efficient water use. This paper contrasts measured irrigation efficiencies with characteristics of charges and irrigation systems. It discusses, for instance, the relation of field data with the generally endorsed presumption that water charges only influence irrigation ...

Charging Electric Vehicles Fairly and Efficiently

International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems
Motivated by electric vehicle (EV) charging, we formulate the problem of and efficient allocation of a divisible resource among agents that arrive and depart over time and consume the resource at different rates. The agents (EVs) derive utility from the amount of charge gained, which depends on their own charging rate as well as that of the charging ...

Efficient magnet charging and conditioning

Proceedings of Electrical/Electronics Insulation Conference, 2002
The authors discuss energy storage/capacitor discharge instrumentation only, because this form of processes equipment can be upgraded to excessive energy levels much more easily than DC electromagnets and half-cycle units can. The data used are the result of four decades spent in designing, using and observing magnet processing systems.

High Light-Load Efficiency Charge Pumps

2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005
We first analyze the undesired charge transfer occurring in charge pumps; we then present a circuit which is less susceptible to this issue, resulting in significant improvements of the light-load efficiency in charge pumps which must have a sufficiently high maximum current capability. SPICE simulations confirm the theoretical results.

Efficient charge recovery logic

Digest of Technical Papers., Symposium on VLSI Circuits., 2002
Efficient Charge Recovery Logic (ECRL) is proposed as a candidate for low-energy adiabatic logic. Power comparison with other logic circuits is performed on an inverter chain and a carry lookahead adder (CLA). ECRL CLA is designed as a pipelined structure for obtaining the same throughput as a conventional static CMOS CLA.

Ternary Electrification for Efficient Charge Accumulation and Synergetic Charge Collection

Advanced Functional Materials, 2023
AbstractA direct current triboelectric nanogenerator (DC‐TENG) based on corona discharge has a high efficiency in collecting electrification charges. However, enhancing the constant current output with an ultra‐low crest factor and average power density of DC‐TENG through a rational structure design is still a great challenge.

A theoretical charge transfer scheme for efficiency optimization of integrated charge pumps

2014 21st IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2014
A scheme which provides optimized charge transfer for integrated charge pumps is presented. The pump capacitors in the intermediate stages of the pump are split into k smaller capacitors C/k. Higher charge transfer efficiency is achieved by sequentially transferring charge packets from a capacitor C to each of the cascaded k capacitors C/k and, then ...

Revolutionizing Charging Efficiency: Charging Slot Prediction using Android

International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2023
Abstract: With ever- adding pollution situations and its impact on the terrain, governments are looking for alternate energy options for transportation services. fleetly depleting global oil painting reserves and rising oil painting import bills of governments are also driving the need for alternate energy sources for the transport vehicles ...

An Efficient Transition Detector Exploiting Charge Sharing

2015 28th International Conference on VLSI Design, 2015
Transition detectors have been widely employed for online error and metastability detection, including in Better-Than-Worst-Case (BTWC) timing design of microprocessors that are designed to allow occasional timing errors. In such applications, the area overhead introduced by the transition detectors is a major concern because they may need to be ...
