Tau charm factory physics [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1989
Physics from a Tau Charm Factory is presented. . T au Charm Factories proposed for future machines will provide powerful and unique facilities to study a variety of physics topics: the tau lepton, charm mesons, charmonium and the J/vdecays. These topics cover the physics of the members of the first and second quark doublets and the third lepton doublet.

3D‐Printed Porous Hydroxyapatite Formed via Enzymatic Mineralization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bone combines lightness, strength, and the ability to heal, inspiring new materials design. This work introduces a room‐temperature, enzyme‐mediated 3D printing method to create porous hydroxyapatite scaffolds. The process avoids energy‐intensive sintering, preserves bioactivity, and allows control over porosity and mineralization.

Search for a cH signal in the associated production of at least one charm quark with a Higgs boson in the diphoton decay channel in pp collisions at $$\sqrt{s}=13$$ TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
This paper presents the first search for a cH signal sensitive to the coupling of the charm quark (c) to the Higgs boson (H) in the associated production of at least one charm quark with a Higgs boson decaying to two photons.

The charm physics programme at the LHCb upgrade, and Atlas and CMS upgrades

open access: yes, 2012
Charm physics has been established at the LHC based on several high-precision measurements. The future of charm physics at the LHC experiments is discussed in detail. The bulk of the charm physics programme will be performed by LHCb and the LHCb upgrade.

Copper‐Based Crystalline‐Metallic Glass Composite Thin Films: A Novel Material with Enhanced Strength and Thermally Stable Nanotwins

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Cu‐based crystal‐glass composite with high‐density twins is identified by a fast screening technique using combinatorial sputtering together with XRD and nanoindentation mapping. This bamboo‐like structure demonstrates homogenous plastic flow and retains high strength during in situ high temperature tests, up to 1 GPa at 550°C, owing to those ...

Nano‐ and Micro‐Sized Solid Materials Used as Antiviral Agents

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Due to the rise of viral infections in humans and possible viral outbreaks, the use of nano‐ or micro‐sized materials as antiviral agents is rapidly increasing. This review explores their antiviral properties against RNA and DNA viruses, either as a prevention or a treatment tool, by delving into their mechanisms of action and how to properly assess ...

Indirect Band Edge and Chain‐Locked Linear Dichroism in the Quasi‐1D Van der Waals Antiferromagnet AgCrP2S6

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
AgCrP2S6 reveals a momentum‐indirect band edge (≈1.35 eV) and chain‐locked linear dichroism: the first direct transitions emerge at 1.6–1.8 eV for E||a. Resonant Raman and photoemission corroborate this assignment. In ACPS/graphene heterostructures, photocurrent turns on above ≈1.5 eV and follows the same polarization selection rules (anisotropy ≈0.53),
