Boron chelates and boron-metal chelates

Seven chelates were synthesized from aliphatic diamines, salicylaldehyde and diphenylboric anhydride. Chelates with a B(C6H5)2 group could not be obtained with the α, ω-diamines used. The compounds were studied by elementary analysis and molecular spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR: 1H, 13C). The solubilities of the compounds were determined in dichloromethane.
