Diet is an important source of exposure to chemical compounds and estimating individual exposure is challenging and essential to study the association with long term health effects. This project aims to estimate the dietary exposure to more than 400 chemical compounds in the E3N cohort (Etude Epidémiologique après de femmes de la Mutuelle Générale de l'

[Diagnosis of multiple chemical sensitivity by chemical compounds exposure tests].
Arerugi = [Allergy], 2009There are no specific signs or symptoms in Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), so diagnosis of MCS depends on a history, QEESI symptom scores and exclusion of other diseases. A gold standard of diagnosis of MCS is a chemical compound exposure test in which changes of symptoms are used to decide the results positive or negative.

Environmental chemicals, such as Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and the association between the combined exposure of these chemicals and human lung function remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the effects of mixed exposure to PFAS and VOCs on lung function in the general population ...

The aim of this study was to determine the dietary intake of perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) by the population of Tarragona County (Catalonia, Spain). PFC levels were determined in 36 composite samples of foodstuffs randomly purchased in various locations. Exposure to PFCs through the diet was estimated for various age/gender groups.

[Disorders caused by the exposure to chemical compounds].
Nihon rinsho. Japanese journal of clinical medicine, 2014The number of the chemical compounds handled in current Japan is approximately 60,000, and approximately 1,500 of new chemicals are registered every year. Approximately 200 chemicals are regulated. The prescribed industrial disease occurs 200-320 cases in a recent year, and the half are caused by unregulated chemicals.

The basic principles of experimental evaluation of the gonadotropic, mutagenic, embryotropic and blastomogenic effects of chemical compounds and late consequences of their effects on the cardiovascular system are discussed. The mentioned aspects of late (delayed) effects of contact with industrial poisons are highly topical with respect to the ...

As an oil producing Nation with large mineral deposits, coal is one source of energy generation in Nigeria. However, bye-products of these minerals as alternative energy sources include heavy soot, high emissions of greenhouse gases and resultant organo-contaminates, which are bye-products (i.e., wastes) of heavy machineries.

The use of chemicals during restoration practices involves emissions of toxics depending on both the amount of original products used and the specific techniques applied. Restorers perform a great variety of techniques by using not standardized operative procedures: moreover, they are exposed to mixtures and very rarely to single chemicals.
