From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

Tetrabromopyrrole (TBP) is a readily biosynthesized marine proteobacterial compound that induces coral settlement (attachment and metamorphosis) at concentrations ranging from 50 – 250 ng ml-1 (0.13 – 0.65 µM). This suggests a great potential for the use

Heuristically Adaptive Diffusion‐Model Evolutionary Strategy
Building on the mathematical equivalence between diffusion models and evolutionary algorithms, researchers demonstrate unprecedented control over evolutionary optimization through conditional diffusion. By training diffusion models to associate parameters with specific traits, they can guide evolution toward solutions exhibiting desired behaviors ...

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Seasonal Trap Captures Data of Stink and Leaf-Footed Bugs in a Northern Italian Ecosystem
An essential first step to implement a control strategy against herbivorous insects is the monitoring of their populations. The efficacy of pheromone-based traps in capturing herbivorous insects can be enhanced by adding adjuvants and using slow-release ...

This study presents the first telomere‐to‐telomere genomes and population resources for Diaporthe pathogens, uncovering the largest known fungal repertoire of secondary metabolite gene clusters. Structural variations and horizontal gene transfer drive cluster diversification, while specific rapidly evolving clusters control virulence, offering novel ...
