Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Oxygen Isotope Fractionation in the Martian Atmosphere Induced by CO2 Photolysis and O3 Formation
The enrichment of heavy isotopes of volatile elements in the Martian atmosphere indicates that Mars lost a large portion of its atmosphere through escape to space. Recent atmospheric measurements by the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) have suggested that

Ultra-violet absorption cross sections of isotopically substituted nitrous oxide species: 14N14NO, 15N14NO, 14N15NO and 15N15NO [PDF]
The isotopically substituted nitrous oxide species 14N14NO, 15N14NO, 14N15NO and 15N15NO were investigated by ultra-violet (UV) absorption spectroscopy. High precision cross sections were obtained for the wavelength range 181 to 218nm at temperatures of ...

Extreme Crustal Fractionation in a Proterozoic Chemical Hotspot
Abstract The distribution of mineral systems is heterogeneous over space and time, reflecting transient element enrichment within Earth’s evolving crust. Australian Proterozoic rocks host some of the world’s largest ore deposits, including the Broken Hill Pb–Zn–Ag deposit within the Curnamona Province, and the Olympic Dam Cu–U–Au–Ag ...

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

The current state of biorefinery development is focused almost entirely on the production of fuel ethanol. However, an ethanol-centric approach misses the crucial example set by the petrochemical industry.

Fractionation of Irradiated Cholesterol: Chemical Observations.
One of us recently reported1 that cholesterol, as a result of exposure in air to light from the mercury-vapor quartz lamp, reacted differently from the untreated cholesterol towards a reagent consisting of aniline and concentrated hydrochloric acid. With the aid of this color reaction, fractionation of irradiated cholesterol was undertaken.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.
