Ammonia chemical ionization mass spectrometry of intact diacyl phosphatidylcholine
Mass spectra have been obtained on molecular species of intact diacyl phosphatidylcholine by means of ammonia gas-induced chemical ionization. MH(+) ions were observed with all species, and other prominent ions in the spectra identified the fatty acid ...

Analytical Formulas of Molecular Ion Abundances and N2H+ Ring in Protoplanetary Disks [PDF]
We investigate the chemistry of ion molecules in protoplanetary disks, motivated by the detection of N$_2$H$^+$ ring around TW Hya. While the ring inner radius coincides with the CO snow line, it is not apparent why N$_2$H$^+$ is abundant outside the CO ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

An Organic Chemist’s Guide to Electrospray Mass Spectrometric Structure Elucidation
Tandem mass spectrometry is an important tool for structure elucidation of natural and synthetic organic products. Fragmentation of odd electron ions (OE+) generated by electron ionization (EI) was extensively studied in the last few decades, however ...

The ionized gas at the center of IC 10: A possible localized chemical pollution by Wolf-Rayet stars
We present results from integral field spectroscopy with the Potsdam Multi-Aperture Spectrograph at the 3.5m telescope at Calar Alto Observatory of the intense star-forming region [HL90] 111 at the center of the starburst galaxy IC 10.

High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...
