Theory of Chemical Kinetics and Charge Transfer based on Nonequilibrium Thermodynamics
Advances in the fields of catalysis and electrochemical energy conversion often involve nanoparticles, which can have kinetics surprisingly different from the bulk material.

Chemical Kinetics and Dynamics [PDF]
Abstract: Chemical reactions correspond to irreversible processes creating entropy. Chemistry belongs to the class of nonintegrable Poincare systems. In general, chemistry is associated with resonances—transitions of quantum states. We have studied some very simple examples of such processes, like decay of an unstable state, in detail. (In such cases,

Nonisothermal Chemical Kinetics
Nature, 1970IN a recent article1, MacCallum and Tanner suggest that the traditional homogeneous reaction rate expression is applicable only to isothermal processes, and that an additional term should be added when the ...

Abstract We consider a “double isotope” experiment in which a precursor A1 and an expected intermediate A2 labeled with two different isotopes, say 14C and 3H, are simultaneously subjected to an enzymic preparation. Assuming a first order kinetic reaction scheme A1 → A2 → A3 → A4…, we prove certain inequalities for the expected ratios of 14C to 3H in

Chemical Kinetics and Catalysis
1995Utilizing a didactical approach, the authors describe the kinetic theory of catalytic reactions and kinetics is related to the molecular properties of the reacting species. The volume opens with a historical overview of how the fields of catalysis and kinetics developed.

It is convenient to distinguish two types of chemistry in the solar system. The first is thermochemical chemistry driven by the thermal energy of the atmosphere. This type of chemistry is important, for example, in the interior of the giant planets where pressures and temperatures exceed 1000 bar and 1000 K, respectively.

Throughout much of this book we have emphasized the description of a system in terms of an equilibrium state. This approach is invaluable when we are beginning study and are not sure exactly what are the elements and the linkages that comprise the rules of the system under study. Still it seems to be a compulsive pulse taking that is stodgy.
