Symmetry relations in chemical kinetics arising from microscopic reversibility [PDF]
It is shown that the kinetics of time-reversible chemical reactions having the same equilibrium constant but different initial conditions are closely related to one another by a directly measurable symmetry relation analogous to chemical detailed balance.

Drying kinetics and physico-chemical quality of mango slices [PDF]
Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is an important tropical fruit consumed worldwide and grown in Italy only in Sicily, where the areas of the Tyrrhenian coast have proved to be suitable to produce valuable fruits.

Mean-field cooperativity in chemical kinetics
We consider cooperative reactions and we study the effects of the interaction strength among the system components on the reaction rate, hence realizing a connection between microscopic and macroscopic observables.

Flame Speciation and Laminar Burning Velocity of Tetralin Flames Under Atmospheric Pressure
We present a combined experimental and modeling study of premixed atmospheric-pressure tetralin flames. Chemical speciation in near-stoichiometric (φ = 0.8–1.0) tetralin/O2/Ar flames was characterized by probe-sampling molecular-beam mass spectrometry ...

Percolation-dependent Reaction Rates in the Etching of Disordered Solids
A prototype statistical model for the etching of a random solid is investigated in order to assess the influence of disorder and temperature on the dissolution kinetics.

Some Remarks on the Boundary of Thermodynamic Stability
In this paper, we have considered some elements of the classical phenomenological theory of thermodynamic stability, which seem controversial and ambiguous. The main focus is on the conditions of the stability boundary; a new version of the derivation of
