Microbial Symbiosis in Lepidoptera: Analyzing the Gut Microbiota for Sustainable Pest Management
Recent advances in microbiome studies have deepened our understanding of endosymbionts and gut-associated microbiota in host biology. Of those, lepidopteran systems in particular harbor a complex and diverse microbiome with various microbial taxa that ...

Chromosome segregation in Streptococcus pneumoniae depends on RocS, a bitopic protein whose membrane‐anchoring mechanisms were unclear. Using NMR and AFM, this study reveals that the widely conserved RocS anchor binds to membranes via a conserved kink‐helix motif which inserts into lipid nanodomains.

The strong Cu–O–Ni electronic interaction in the heterostructured catalyst can enhance the effective adsorption of NO3− and accelerate the in situ hydrolysis dissociation of the hydrogenation step. The Zn‐NO3 hybrid battery assembled with this catalyst achieves an open‐circuit voltage of 1.45 V, a peak power density of 6.47 mW cm−2, and can ...

Au nanobipyramids (Au NBPs) with distinct Pt configurations—dense Pt layers (Au NBPs@Ptd), sparse Pt clusters (Au NBPs@Pts), and trace AuPt alloy (Au NBPs@Au/Ptalloy) were engineered. Au NBPs@Au/Ptalloy exhibited optimal performance in the photoelectrocatalytic nitrite‐to‐ammonia conversion.

Sulfonated cellulose acetate (SCA) nanofiber membrane with zincophilic‐hydrophobic property is constructed on the surface of the Zn anode by the electrospinning technique to tune the 3D deposition behavior of Zn2+ by chemisorption and micro‐sized physical structure. The negatively‐charged groups of SCA nanofiber membrane form an electrostatic repulsion

Chemical Control for Host-Parasitoid Model within the Parasitism Season and Its Complex Dynamics
In the present paper, we develop a host-parasitoid model with Holling type II functional response function and chemical control, which can be applied at any time of each parasitism season or pest generation, and focus on addressing the importance of the ...
