Hierarchically Engineered Transition Metal Electrode for Direct Lithium Extraction From Brine

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Carbon‐modified WO3 nanoparticles deliver lithium extraction from simulated brine with Li+ capacity of 3 mmol Li g−1h−1 and 43% recovery efficiency. Reduced graphene oxide enhances charge transport and interfacial stability, while reversible W redox validated by in‐situ spectroscopy, governs lithium intercalation dynamics and structural stability ...

Durable Fuel Cell Cathode Enabled by Pt Embedded Nanoscale Carbon Network via a Scalable Process

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Platinum nanoparticles embedded nanoscale carbon network (Pt‐e‐Cn) are developed via a scalable flame spray pyrolysis process. Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) employing mesoporous Pt‐e‐Cn cathode electrocatalysts exhibit exceptional durability without compromising performance.

Characterization of ZnO Thin Films Grown by Spray Pyrolysis Using Various Chemical Precursors

open access: yes, 2010
Zinc oxide (ZnO) has gained much interest recently due to its semiconductivity, optical transparency, and magneto-optic effects. Obtaining p-type ZnO has been a major obstacle to using ZnO in applications such as spintronics.

Characteristics of Zinc Oxide Film Prepared by Chemical Spray Deposition as a Gas Sensor

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2011
Zinc oxide thin films were deposited by chemical spray pyrolysis onto glass substrates which are held at a temperature of 673 K. Some structural, electrical, optical and gas sensing properties of films were studied.

Sunlight‐Driven Green Synthesis of Platinum Nanoparticles From Double‐Vacancy Halide Perovskite Precursors for Methanol Reforming

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The development of synthetic procedures for preparing metal nanoparticles with controlled size using sunlight opens new avenues toward more sustainable methods with lower energy consumption. Herein, we propose the use of double‐vacancy halide perovskites as precursors for engineering highly crystalline and small platinum nanoparticles (< 3 nm)

Dataset for 'PrFeO3 photocathodes prepared through spray pyrolysis'

open access: yes, 2020
PrFeO3 (PFO) has been shown to be an active photochemical water reduction in slurry reactors, but has yet to be shown as a photocathode for photoelectrochemical water reduction, to the best of our knowledge.

The Effect of Substrate Temperature on the Structural Properties of Spray Pyrolysed Lead Sulphide (PbS) Thin Films

open access: yesARO-The Scientific Journal of Koya University, 2016
Lead sulphide (PbS) films were prepared by the chemical spray pyrolysis technique using a solution of Lead nitrate and thiourea. PbS films were deposited (prepared) on glass substrate at varied temperature (250-350 oC).

A novel bubbling fluid bed reactor for the autothermal pyrolysis of waste plastics

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract A new pilot‐scale fluidized bed reactor operated under continuous conditions was developed and tested for the thermal pyrolysis of high‐density polyethylene (HDPE). The study focused on assessing the reliability and operability of the system under different operating conditions (400–550°C), while monitoring mass and energy balances, product ...
