Analytical evaluation of the novel Mindray high sensitivity cardiac troponin I immunoassay on CL-1200i

open access: yes
Objectives: The current study was designed to evaluate the analytical performance of the new Mindray highly sensitive cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI) chemiluminescent immunoassay on Mindray CL-1200i, as a thorough validation of novel hs-cTnI methods is ...

100 Years of von Willebrand Disease (VWD): Comparison of Historical and Contemporary von Willebrand Factor (VWF) Activity Assays in the Laboratory Identification of VWD

open access: yesHaemophilia, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction von Willebrand disease (VWD) is a prevalent bleeding disorder resulting from deficiencies and/or defects in von Willebrand factor (VWF). Accurately diagnosing VWD, particularly distinguishing between qualitative defects (types 2A, 2B, 2 M, and 2N) and quantitative defects (types 1 and 3), poses challenges that have significant ...

Biochemical profiling and symptomatology of androgen deficiency in males with cluster headache: A prospective case–control study

open access: yesHeadache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives/Background Cluster headache (CH) has historically been considered a male‐dominated disorder, suggesting a role for androgens in its pathophysiology. We aimed to evaluate hormone profiles and symptoms of androgen deficiency in CH.

On‐Treatment Reassessment of Type IV Collagen 7S and M2BPGi‐Qt Improves Long‐Term Hepatocellular Carcinoma Risk Stratification in Chronic Hepatitis B

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
One‐year reassessment of type IV collagen 7S, supported by quantitative M2BPGi‐Qt assessment, helped refine long‐term hepatocellular carcinoma risk stratification in patients with chronic hepatitis B receiving nucleos(t)ide analogue therapy. On‐treatment 4COL7S emerged as a novel marker of residual fibrosis‐related HCC risk.

An Integrative Multi‐Omic Biomarker Panel Distinguishes Hepatocellular Carcinoma From Chronic Liver Disease in HBV‐Predominant Populations

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim DNA methylation is a promising diagnostic biomarker for various cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We aimed to identify aberrant DNA methylation and protein alterations via integrated approaches and develop a highly predictive biomarker panel for blood‐based discrimination of HCC from non‐HCC chronic liver disease (CLD) in ...
