Analysis on the Clinical Therapeutic Effect of Hepatic Artery Chemoembolization in the Treatment of Advanced Liver Cancer

open access: yesProceedings of Anticancer Research, 2021
Objective: To study and analyze the clinical efficacy of gemcitabine combined with Tegafur chemotherapy after radical resection of pancreatic cancer. Methods: The subjects of the study were 200 patients who were admitted to the hospital from January 2018 to February 2021 requiring chemotherapy after radical resection of pancreatic cancer.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Low Psoas-Muscle index is associated with decreased survival in hepatocellular carcinoma treated with transarterial chemoembolization

open access: yesAnnals of Medicine, 2022
Purpose Skeletal muscle index (SMI) is a promising predictor of clinical outcomes in patients with malignant diseases. As a simpler surrogate of sarcopenia-psoas muscle index (PMI), its predict value for overall survival (OS) after transarterial ...

Bio‐Inspired Biopolymeric Implantable Platform for Localized and Sustained Drug Delivery in Solid Tumor Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bio‐inspired biopolymeric implantable drug delivery platform enables localized and sustained release of 7‐ethyl‐10‐hydroxycamptothecin (SN‐38) in solid tumor treatment. The three‐dimensional (3D) structured crosslinked‐chitosan implants are fabricated via 3D‐printed molds and provide drug release over 3 months, significantly inhibiting tumor growth ...

Epithelioid hemangioma of the scapula treated with chemoembolization and microwave ablation: Α case report

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, 2018
Bone epithelioid hemangiomas are classified within benign vascular tumours but are commonly misdiagnosed as low-grade angiosarcomas or epithelioid hemangioendotheliomas.

Hydrogel Microtube Drug Carrier for Catheter‐Based Intravascular Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This paper proposes hydrogel microtube carriers composed of barium alginate gel, enabling long‐term vascular retention without interrupting blood flow. Intravascular treatments have long been attracting attention for therapeutic efficacy, yet practical delivery methods remained unestablished.

A case of necrotizing pancreatitis subsequent to transcatheter arterial chemoembolization in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yesClinical and Molecular Hepatology, 2012
Necrotizing pancreatitis is one of the rare complications of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). Necrotizing pancreatitis after TACE may result from the development of ischemia caused by regurgitation of embolic materials into the vessels ...

3D‐Nanoprinted Fluidically Steerable Soft Robotic Microcatheters

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work introduces a ∼3‐French (1 mm‐in‐diameter) soft robotic microcatheter fabricated by means of two‐photon direct laser writing. The 3D‐printed microcatheter enables remote, on‐demand steering via microfluidic actuation for guidewire‐free navigation of vascular networks as well as microcatheter‐mediated delivery of fluidic payloads to target ...

Palliative Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization for Relieving Metastatic Bone Pain due to Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Case Report

open access: yes대한영상의학회지, 2018
Bone metastasis is the third most common extrahepatic metastasis from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), following lung and lymph node metastasis. Although transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is widely used for the treatment for unresectable HCC

The Development and Pilot Clinical Study of CD147 Targeted Antagonistic Peptide Probe for Tumor Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes [68Ga]Ga‐DOTA‐AP9 as a first‐in‐human CD147‐targeted PET tracer with favorable safety and specific tumor uptake. Tracer accumulation correlates with CD147 expression in patients, enabling noninvasive quantification of CD147‐positive malignancies.
