Senolytic Therapy as a Preventive Strategy for Spine Degeneration and Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cellular senescence promotes inflammation, tissue degeneration, and chronic back pain. In sparc‐null mice, early oral administration of the senolytic agents o‐vanillin and RG‐7112 reduced senescent cell burden and pro‐inflammatory SASP signaling across intervertebral discs, endplates, vertebral bone, and spinal cord.

P2Y6 Receptors Regulate CXCL10 Expression and Secretion in Mouse Intestinal Epithelial Cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2018
In this study, we investigated the role of extracellular nucleotides in chemokine (KC, MIP-2, MCP-1, and CXCL10) expression and secretion by murine primary intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) with a focus on P2Y6 receptors. qRT-PCR experiments showed that

CXCL10 controls inflammatory pain via opioid peptide-containing macrophages in electroacupuncture. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Acupuncture is widely used for pain treatment in patients with osteoarthritis or low back pain, but molecular mechanisms remain largely enigmatic. In the early phase of inflammation neutrophilic chemokines direct opioid-containing neutrophils in the ...

S100A14 in Tumor‐Derived EVs Targets PIAS3 to Reprogram Astrocytes and Induce Immunosuppressive Microenvironment Promoting Brain Metastasis and Germacrone Reversal Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies S100A14 in tumor‐derived exosomes as a key driver of brain metastasis. S100A14 targets PIAS3 in astrocytes, activating STAT3 signaling and promoting immunosuppressive MDSCs recruitment via chemokine secretion. Germacrone, a natural compound, binds S100A14 to disrupt this axis, effectively inhibiting brain metastasis with low ...

Vanadium pentoxide induces the secretion of CXCL9 and CXCL10 chemokines in thyroid cells

open access: yesOncology Reports, 2018
Vanadium is a grey metal, existing in different states of oxidation, whose most common form in commercial products is vanadium pentoxide (V2O5). All vanadium compounds have been considered toxic. A carcinogenic role of vanadium on the thyroid has recently been proposed.

TME/NIR Dual‐Responsive Zinc‐Based Targeted Nanoagonist for Multimodal Amplification of STING‐Mediated Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nanoagonist (cDZ@IP) enables nano‐metabolite–driven multimodal activation of the STING pathway and enhanced immune recognition, achieving potent antitumor immunity and suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. This strategy highlights the rational design of therapeutic metabolites and establishes a new paradigm bridging nanomedicine ...

β (CCL2) and α (CXCL10) chemokine modulations by cytokines and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α agonists in Graves' ophthalmopathy

open access: yes, 2012
No data are present in the literature about the effect of cytokines on the prototype β chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2) or of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα (PPARA)) activation on CCL2 and CXCL10 chemokines secretion in ...

Radiotherapy Enhances the Oncolytic Efficacy of the Novel Oncolytic Herpesvirus VG161 and Amplifies Its Antitumor Immunity in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RT promotes VG161 replication in BC and its immunostimulatory transgenes expression, which is mediated by the upregulation of GADD34 and HVEM caused by RT. The combination therapy with VG161 and RT increases the abundances of tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes and elicits potent systemic antitumor immunity, thereby effectively inhibiting local tumors and ...

CXCL10-armed oncolytic adenovirus promotes tumor-infiltrating T-cell chemotaxis to enhance anti-PD-1 therapy

open access: yesOncoImmunology, 2022
Resistance remains an obstacle to anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) therapy in human cancer. One critical resistance mechanism is the lack of T cell chemotaxis in the tumor microenvironment (TME).
