Pediatrics, 1956The efficacy of piperazine citrate used therapeutically and prophylactically against enterobiasis was studied in a home for boys aged 4 to 14 years all infected with pinworm. Syrup of piperazine given in a dose of 5 ml three times daily for 1 week failed to cure 5 of 24 boys but given for 14 days it failed in only 1 of 25.
