We present a model of olfactory bulb-cortex interaction for the purpose of mixture processing with gas sensor arrays. The olfactory bulb is modeled with a neurodynamic model whose lateral inhibitory connections are learned through a modified Hebbian-anti-Hebbian rule.

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2015
Abstract Metal oxide (MOX) gas sensors arrays are a predominant technological choice to perform fundamental tasks of chemical detection. Yet, their use has been mainly limited to relatively controlled instrument configurations where the sensor array is placed within a closed measurement chamber.

Here we report on an improved concept for electronic noses (e-noses) that combines three large chemosensor arrays (300 resistive elements per array) with two micro-packages, each containing a column inspired by our study of the human olfactory mucosa and nasal cavity.

High Pressure Research, 2007
Experiments were performed to study the effects of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) and gamma irradiation, respectively, from two aspects. The effects of HHP treatments on minced pork meat exposed to 50–800 MPa for 20 min and stored at 4 °C for a period of 1 week were examined.
