Mixture segmentation and background suppression in chemosensor arrays with a model of olfactory bulb-cortex interaction

Proceedings. 2005 IEEE International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, 2005., 2006
We present a model of olfactory bulb-cortex interaction for the purpose of mixture processing with gas sensor arrays. The olfactory bulb is modeled with a neurodynamic model whose lateral inhibitory connections are learned through a modified Hebbian-anti-Hebbian rule.

Reservoir computing compensates slow response of chemosensor arrays exposed to fast varying gas concentrations in continuous monitoring

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2015
Abstract Metal oxide (MOX) gas sensors arrays are a predominant technological choice to perform fundamental tasks of chemical detection. Yet, their use has been mainly limited to relatively controlled instrument configurations where the sensor array is placed within a closed measurement chamber.

An electronic nose employing dual-channel odour separation columns with large chemosensor arrays for advanced odour discrimination

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2009
Here we report on an improved concept for electronic noses (e-noses) that combines three large chemosensor arrays (300 resistive elements per array) with two micro-packages, each containing a column inspired by our study of the human olfactory mucosa and nasal cavity.

The effect of the high hydrostatic pressure technology on livestock products monitored by NIR spectroscopy and chemosensor array

High Pressure Research, 2007
Experiments were performed to study the effects of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) and gamma irradiation, respectively, from two aspects. The effects of HHP treatments on minced pork meat exposed to 50–800 MPa for 20 min and stored at 4 °C for a period of 1 week were examined.

Inclusion crystals as vapochromic chemosensors: fabrication of a mini-sensor array for discrimination of small aromatic molecules based on side-chain engineering of naphthalenediimide derivatives

Journal of Materials Chemistry C, 2019
A mini-sensor array based on side-chain engineering of NDI derivatives achieved unique vapochromic/vapofluorochromic behaviors for aromatic vapors.
