PBRM1 Deficiency in Microglia Leads to Excessive Neurogenesis and Autism‐Like Behaviors via the CCL5‐CCR1/5‐β‐catenin Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microglial PBRM1 deficiency drives excessive hippocampal neurogenesis by enhancing CCL5–CCR1/5 signaling, leading to autism‐like behaviors. A pro‐inflammatory IL1α+/TNFα+ microglial subset is identified as a key cellular contributor to this process. PBRM1 represses Ccl5 expression at the transcriptional level.

The type IV pilus steering committee: how Pil-Chp controls directional motility

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology
Many microbial species live on surfaces and employ various strategies for initiation of and survival within a surface-attached community. One such strategy implemented by many bacterial species is to move across surfaces using grappling hook-like ...

Cellular Mechanisms Enabling Mitochondria Transfer and Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial transfer and transplantation (mitoTT) is examined as a multistep process governed by distinct transfer routes and post‐transfer checkpoints. Mechanisms controlling mitochondrial uptake, network integration, cristae remodeling, mtDNA maintenance, immune sensing, and quality control are highlighted, revealing key biological and ...

Spatiotemporally Precise Rheumatoid Arthritis Therapy via a Triple‐Locked Cascaded Nanoplatform With Dual‐Channel Self‐Reporting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An orthogonally programmable nanotheranostic (MB@YW NPs) enables precision therapy for rheumatoid arthritis. A triple‐locked (pH, HOCl/ONOO−, light) independently drives the release of methotrexate and sulfasalazine. Trackable by dual‐channel fluorescence, this coordinated drug delivery remodels the inflammatory microenvironment to markedly suppress ...

Large Oncosomes Induce Pro‐Metastatic Stromal‐Myeloid Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Large oncosomes systemically reprogram bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells through innate nucleic acid sensing, driving inflammatory and immunosuppressive remodeling that supports a metastasis‐permissive bone marrow environment, revealing a novel tumor‐host communication axis in cancer. ABSTRACT Bone metastasis can be facilitated by systemic remodeling,

In Vivo CRISPR Screen Identifies RPS19 as an Immunotherapy Target in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By employing in vivo CRISPR functional screening, we identify ribosomal protein RPS19 as a pivotal mediator driving immune evasion in hepatocellular carcinoma, wherein tumor‑released RPS19 binds C5aR1 on tumor‑associated macrophages to initiate downstream immunosuppressive signaling; SP94‑peptide‑modified SNPSS nanoparticles deliver Cas9/sgRPS19 ...

Cross‐Organ Multi‐Omics Profiling of Systemic Alterations in 5xFAD Mice and Changes Associated with Huanglian Jiedu Decoction Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cross‐organ multi‐omics reveals coordinated inflammatory and metabolic disturbances in 5xFAD mice. Huanglian Jiedu Decoction improves cognition and alleviates brain and liver abnormalities. Complementary hepatocyte–microglia conditioned‐medium experiments suggest PPAR‐γ involvement in treatment‐associated changes in microglial inflammation, providing ...

A Novel Bioactive Component, Efoba, From Aged Garlic Targets CTSC to Suppress NET‐Driven Neuroinflammation and Ameliorate Secondary Brain Injury After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Efoba, a novel bioactive component derived from aged garlic, confers neuroprotection against intracerebral hemorrhage. It acts on microglia to suppress CTSC release, inhibits NET‐mediated neural injury, and blocks pathological microglia‐neutrophil crosstalk. This study provides a highly promising lead compound for hemorrhagic‐stroke therapy.
