Open String Renormalization Group Flow as a Field Theory
Abstract This article shows that the integral flow‐lines of the RG‐flow of open string theory can be interpreted as the solitons of a Hořova–Lifshitz sigma‐model of open membranes. The authors argue that the effective background description of this model implies the g‐theorem of open string theory.

Fermi gas formalism for D-type quiver Chern-Simons theory with non-uniform ranks
We construct the Fermi gas formalism for the partition function of supersymmetric Chern-Simons theories with affine D-type quiver diagrams with non-uniform ranks of the gauge groups and Fayet-Illiopoulos parameters by two different approaches: the open ...

Stress tensor correlators of $$\hbox {CCFT}_2$$ CCFT 2 using flat-space holography
We use the correspondence between three-dimensional asymptotically flat spacetimes and two-dimensional contracted conformal field theories (CCFTs) to derive the stress tensor correlators of $$\hbox {CCFT}_2$$ CCFT 2 .

Chern–Simons-Like Gravity Theories [PDF]
A wide class of three-dimensional gravity models can be put into "Chern-Simons-like" form. We perform a Hamiltonian analysis of the general model and then specialise to Einstein-Cartan Gravity, General Massive Gravity, the recently proposed Zwei-Dreibein Gravity and a further parity violating generalisation combining the latter two.

On The Finite Temperature Chern-Simons Coefficient
We compute the exact finite temperature effective action in a 0+1-dimensional field theory containing a topological Chern-Simons term, which has many features in common with 2+1-dimensional Chern-Simons theories. This exact result explains the origin and

de Sitter State in Heterotic String Theory
Abstract Recent no‐go theorems have ruled out four‐dimensional classical de Sitter vacua in heterotic string theory. On the other hand, the absence of a well‐defined Wilsonian effective action and other related phenomena also appear to rule out such time‐dependent vacua with de Sitter isometries, even in the presence of quantum corrections.

Path integrals and p$p$‐adic L$L$‐functions
Abstract We prove an arithmetic ‘path integral’ formula for the inverse p$p$‐adic absolute values of Kubota–Leopoldt p$p$‐adic L$L$‐functions at roots of unity.

Localization in abelian Chern-Simons theory [PDF]
Chern-Simons theory on a closed contact three-manifold is studied when the Lie group for gauge transformations is compact, connected and abelian. A rigorous definition of an abelian Chern-Simons partition function is derived using the Faddeev-Popov gauge fixing method.

Teichmüller TQFT vs. Chern-Simons theory
Teichmüller TQFT is a unitary 3d topological theory whose Hilbert spaces are spanned by Liouville conformal blocks. It is related but not identical to PSL(2, ℝ) Chern-Simons theory.

Fractonic Chern-Simons and BF theories
Fracton order is an intriguing new type of order which shares many common features with topological order, such as topology-dependent ground-state degeneracies, and excitations with mutual statistics.
