Novel Quantitative Assessment Pipeline of Organoid Growth Dynamics Using Adapted Light Absorption and Surface Area Normalization Models

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Integration of ellipsoid‐derived surface area calculations, the Beer–Lambert law for light absorption, and modified darkness metrics provide a more accurate and biologically coherent framework for quantifying organoid growth kinetics, shedding dynamics, and viability.

Plastics of the Future? Interdisciplinary Review on Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers: Progress in Chemistry, Societal Views, and Environmental Implications

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Global demand to reduce polymer waste and microplastics pollution has increased in recent years, prompting further research, development, and wider use of biodegradable and biobased polymers (BBPs). BBPs have emerged as promising alternatives to conventional plastics, with the potential to mitigate the environmental burdens of persistent plastic waste.

A postpartum enriched environment rescues impaired cognition and oxidative markers in aged mice with gestational inflammation

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 12, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Protein cysteine residues can be oxidized by nitric oxide (NO) to form protein S‐nitrosothiols (SNOs) in a process called S‐nitrosylation. S‐nitrosoglutathione reductase (GSNOR) is a highly specific denitrase for GSNO; it controls the intracellular levels of GSNO and protein SNOs and protects the body from nitrosative stress.
