Decoupling Degradation at the Electrode Interfaces in Prussian White Full Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Prussian White (PW) as a sodium‐ion battery (SIB) cathode material is advancing, having already been commercialized. Yet, capacity fade and cyanide‐related safety risks persist. By integrating Mössbauer‐ and online electrochemical mass spectrometry, this study analyzes degradation in PW cells, observing hydrogen and cyanide evolution.

AQUA‐FINS: Advanced Quantitative Underwater Analysis by a Flexible Integrated Nitrate Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a flexible, integrated sensor array for real‐time monitoring of nitrate, pH, and temperature in aquaculture. The sensors exhibit high sensitivity and selectivity, while a regression model improves nitrate detection accuracy in dynamic conditions. Successful field deployment of the sensor array highlights its potential for maintaining

Chat Control or Child Protection? [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Ian Levy and Crispin Robinson's position paper "Thoughts on child safety on commodity platforms" is to be welcomed for extending the scope of the debate about the extent to which child safety concerns justify legal limits to online privacy. Their paper's context is the laws proposed in both the UK and the EU to give the authorities the power to ...

Coordinated Role of Autophagy and ERAD in Maintaining Neuroendocrine Function by Preventing Prohormone Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By studying the maturation mechanisms of vasopressin (AVP), this manuscript identifies FAM134B‐mediated ER‐phagy as a critical pathway for degrading both aggregated proAVP and the key ERAD component, HRD1. HRD1 induction mitigates proAVP aggregation and support AVP neuron function in the absence of autophagy.

Evaluating Performance of an Adult Pornography Classifier for Child Sexual Abuse Detection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
The information technology revolution has facilitated reaching pornographic material for everyone, including minors who are the most vulnerable in case they were abused. Accuracy and time performance are features desired by forensic tools oriented to child sexual abuse detection, whose main components may rely on image or video classifiers.

Development of Carbon‐11 Labeled Pyrimidine Derivatives as Novel Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Agents Enabling Brain Sigma‐1 Receptor Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Novel carbon‐11 labeled pyrimidine derivatives are developed as PET imaging probes for visualizing sigma‐1 receptors in the brain. [11C]CNY‐01 demonstrates superior brain uptake and binding specificity in both rodents and non‐human primates. The study reveals decreased sigma‐1 receptor expression in Alzheimer's disease, offering a promising tool for ...

YASM (Yet Another Surveillance Mechanism) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Client-Side Scanning (CSS) see in the Child Sexual Abuse Material Detection (CSAMD) represent ubiquitous mass scanning. Apple proposed to scan their systems for such imagery. CSAMD was since pushed back, but the European Union decided to propose forced CSS to combat and prevent child sexual abuse and weaken encryption.
