Malectin Alleviates Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus via Glycoprotein Quality Control Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

Frailty and Sleep in Adult Survivors of Childhood Cancer: A Childhood Cancer Survivor Study Report

open access: yesPsycho-Oncology
ABSTRACTBackgroundYoung adult survivors of childhood cancer exhibit rates of frailty similar to adults several decades older without a cancer history. Frailty has been associated with sleep disturbances in non‐cancer populations, but the relationship has not been examined in childhood cancer survivors who are known to exhibit elevated rates of sleep ...

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Parental influence on Chinese childhood cancer survivors’ physical activity: a mixed methods study

open access: yesScientific Reports
Parents influence the physical activity (PA) of the childhood cancer survivors (CCS). This mixed-methods study, aiming to obtain an understanding of Chinese parents’ perceptions of PA in CCS and how the cancer experience changes their views, which may ...

The AUTACE That Degrades KRAS and Engages CD8+ T Cells for the Treatment of KRAS/TP53 Co‐Mutant Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AUTACE is a bifunctional nanoplatform that integrates tumor targeting, immune engagement, and on‐demand KRAS degradation. It targets KRAS/TP53 co‐mutant tumors via TP53‐specific TCRs, elicits antitumor CD8+ T‐cell responses through surface anti‐CD3 antibodies, and uses low‐intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) to trigger controlled release of the KRAS ...

Care coordination models for transition and long-term follow-up among childhood cancer survivors: a scoping review

open access: yesBMJ Open
Objectives Childhood cancer survivors may experience complex health issues during transition and long-term follow-up (LTFU); therefore, high-quality healthcare is warranted. Care coordination is one of the essential concepts in advanced healthcare.

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Senolytic Therapy as a Preventive Strategy for Spine Degeneration and Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cellular senescence promotes inflammation, tissue degeneration, and chronic back pain. In sparc‐null mice, early oral administration of the senolytic agents o‐vanillin and RG‐7112 reduced senescent cell burden and pro‐inflammatory SASP signaling across intervertebral discs, endplates, vertebral bone, and spinal cord.
