Polymorphisms at the TNF locus in chinese han population

One hundred sixty-four unrelated healthy individuals from Chinese Han population were investigated in order to define the distribution of eight polymorphic loci within the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) gene cluster and determine their relationship between the high polymorphic microsatellite TNFa, b, d, and other elements.

HLA polymorphisms in a Han Chinese population of Sichuan

This study reports the phenotype frequencies (PF) and gene frequencies (GF) of a homogeneous Sichuan Han Chinese population by typing of unrelated 229 individuals and 16 families for HLA‐A, B, C., DR and DQ antigens. The frequencies of Bw67, Bw71, DRwl2, DRwl3 and DRwl4 are the first to be reported in Chinese.

Distribution of MICA haplotypes in a Chinese Han population

The MICA gene encodes nonclassical major histocompatibility complex class I molecules, centromeric to HLA-B and telomeric to HLA-DRB1. The MICA genes are polymorphic. The immune response against MICA may correlate with a decrease in graft survival after transplantation.
