Sequences analysis and pituitary actions of tachykinins in Chinese sturgeon (Acipenser sinensis)
Gene, 2023Tachykinins belong to a large, evolutionarily conserved family of brain/gut peptides that are involved in a variety of physiological functions in mammals, such as reproductive regulation. However, little information was available about tachykinins in ancient fish lineage.

Mechanism of Chinese sturgeon IFN-γ inhibition on Mycobacterium marinum (Acipenser sinensis)
Fish & Shellfish ImmunologyIFN-γ plays a crucial role in both innate and adaptive immune responses and is a typical Th1 cytokine that promotes Th1 response and activates macrophages. When macrophages were incubated with IFN-γ, their phagocytosis ratio against Mycobacterium marinum increased significantly, as observed under fluorescence microscopy.

The critically endangered Chinese sturgeon, Acipenser sinensis, presents late sexual maturity and has a large body size. Germ cell transplantation is a powerful technique for the production of gametes from large-bodied species in closely related recipients with a smaller body size and shorter generation time.

The impact of environmental factors on the health of the endangered Chinese sturgeon (Acipenser sinensis) and the potential hazards associated with sample collection for health monitoring pose urgent need to its conservation. In this study, Chinese sturgeons were selected from indoor and outdoor environments to evaluate metabolic and tissue damage ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of Chinese sturgeon (Acipenser sinensis)
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014The complete mitochondrial genome of Chinese sturgeon (Acipenser sinensis) was determined by direct sequencing of PCR products. The Chinese sturgeon mitochondrial DNA is a circular molecule (16,688 bp in length) with the typical gene arrangement of vertebrate mtDNA, containing 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA and 22 transfer RNA genes, and a ...
