Word frequency modulates the use of initial and final morpheme positional probabilities during Chinese sentence reading in L2 learners: an eye-tracking study

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
IntroductionChinese text does not mark word boundaries with spaces, requiring readers to rely on statistical cues within character strings for word segmentation and lexical recognition.

Phase‐Resolved Dual Control of Phenol Photodissociation at the Air–Water Interface From Structure‐Resolved Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Faster phenol photolysis at the air–water interface arises from two cooperative factors: a more favorable initial microenvironment for solvent‐side electron stabilization, which lowers CI access, and a more labile hydrogen‐bond network, which more readily reorganizes to stabilize the dark‐state intermediate.

Traditional Chinese medicine text segmentation model with multi-metadata embedding based on Bidirectional LSTM

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cognitive Computing in Engineering
In recent years, natural language processing (NLP) has gained increasing attention in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Chinese word segmentation (CWS) is a fundamental task in NLP, focusing on accurately segmenting words based on context. However, TCM

Convolutional Neural Network with Word Embeddings for Chinese Word Segmentation

open access: yesCoRR, 2017
Character-based sequence labeling framework is flexible and efficient for Chinese word segmentation (CWS). Recently, many character-based neural models have been applied to CWS. While they obtain good performance, they have two obvious weaknesses. The first is that they heavily rely on manually designed bigram feature, i.e.

Intrinsic Dual‐Phase Regulated GeSe2 Nanoparticles Triggered by Ball‐Milling Treatment for Photonic Multi‐Valued Logic Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the solid‐state ball milling, a traditional, reliable, mass‐productive material processing, to prepare the air‐stable and dual‐phase GeSe2‐x nanoparticles with extended photodetection feasibility toward optical‐wavelength regions. We further display photonic multi‐valued logic (MVL) circuit through the employment of a hybrid PMMA/GeSe2‐x ...

Unleashing the power of pinyin: promoting Chinese named entity recognition with multiple embedding and attention

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
Named Entity Recognition (NER) aims to identify entities with specific meanings and their boundaries in natural language texts. Due to the differences between Chinese and English language families, Chinese NER faces challenges such as ambiguous word ...

Strategy of Triple‐Gradient in Binary Pixels for Flexible Pressure Sensing with High Sensitivity and Wide‐Range Linearity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible pressure sensor with triple‐gradient design of conductivity, modulus, and dimension in binary micro‐dome pixels is proposed. Based on precisely‐designed CNT/PDMS matrix, the device exhibits a linear sensitivity of 974.1 kPa−1 across range up to 1.8 MPa (R2 > 0.99), offering an effective strategy for potential applications in healthcare ...
