Chiral Lagrangians and the QCD string [PDF]
We propose a method to derive the low-energy efective action of QCD assuming that the long-distance properties of strong interactions can be described by a string theory. We bypass the usual problems related to the existence of the tachyon and absence of the adequate Adler zero by using a sigma model approach where excitations above the correct ...

A neutrinoless double beta decay master formula from effective field theory
We present a master formula describing the neutrinoless-double-beta decay (0νββ) rate induced by lepton-number-violating (LNV) operators up to dimension nine in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory.

The role of isospin filtering reactions in the S = −1 sector [PDF]
The present study reveals interesting constraining effects of isospin filtering reactions on the low energy constants present in meson-baryon chiral effective Lagrangian, particularly, on the next-to-leading order constants.

Towards a lattice calculation of the coefficients of the QCD chiral Lagrangian [PDF]
We discuss a general strategy to compute the coefficients of QCD chiral Lagrangian by using the lattice regularization of QCD with Wilson fermions. This procedure requires the introduction of an effective Lagrangian for lattice QCD as an intermediate ...

Chiral metric meson Lagrangians
Abstract The currents associated with the chiral-invariant pseudoscalar meson Lagrangian, constructed from a certain metric tensor on a G-manifold, are investigated. The relation between these currents, the Sugawara model and the linearized version of chiral theories in which a set of free fields is constrained, is demonstrated.

Phenomenology of heavy meson chiral lagrangians [PDF]
The approximate symmetries of Quantum ChromoDynamics in the infinite heavy quark ($Q=c,b$) mass limit ($m_Q \to \infty$) and in the chiral limit for the light quarks ($m_q \to 0,\;q=\,u,\,d,\,s$) can be used together to build up an effective chiral lagrangian for heavy and light mesons describing strong interactions among effective meson fields as well

The BRST invariant Lagrangian of the gravitationally interacting U(1)$U(1)$ gauge theory, namely the Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics (QGED). The Yan–Mills theory with the Hilbert–Einstein gravitational Lagrangian, namely the Yang–Mills–Utiyama (YMU) theory, is defined and quantised using the standard procedure. The theory is perturbatively renormalisable,

Precision calculation of the axion-nucleon coupling in chiral perturbation theory
We derive the axion-nucleon interaction Lagrangian in heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-next-to-leading order. The effective axion-nucleon coupling is calculated to a few percent accuracy.

Generalized version of chiral Schwinger model in terms of chiral bosonization
The $$(1+1)$$ ( 1 + 1 ) dimensional generalized model where vector and axial vector interaction get mixed up with different strength is considered. Imposing a chiral constraint, the model can be expressed in terms of chiral boson.
