CHIRAL LAGRANGIANS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2002
An overview of the field of Chiral Lagrangians is given. This includes Chiral Perturbation Theory and resummations to extend it to higher energies, applications to the muon anomalous magnetic moment, ∊′/∊ and others.

Universal scale factors relating mesonic fields and quark operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Scale factor matrices relating mesonic fields in chiral Lagrangians and quark-level operators of QCD sum-rules are shown to be constrained by chiral symmetry, resulting in universal scale factors for each chiral nonet.

Chiral Lagrangian for excited pions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1997
We construct a chiral Lagrangian containing besides the usual pion field (pi) also its first radial excitation (pi'). The Lagrangian is derived by bosonization of a Nambu--Jona-Lasinio quark model with separable non-local interactions, with form factors corresponding to 3-dimensional ground and excited state wave functions.

Light- and strange-quark mass dependence of the ρ(770) meson revisited

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Recent lattice data on ππ-scattering phase shifts in the vector-isovector channel, pseudoscalar meson masses and decay constants for strange-quark masses smaller or equal to the physical value allow us to study the strangeness dependence of these ...

Chiral power counting of one- and two-body currents in direct detection of dark matter

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
We present a common chiral power-counting scheme for vector, axial-vector, scalar, and pseudoscalar WIMP–nucleon interactions, and derive all one- and two-body currents up to third order in the chiral expansion.

Introduction to chiral symmetry in QCD

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The main aspects of chiral symmetry in QCD are presented. The necessity of its spontaneous breakdown is explained. Some low-energy theorems are reviewed.

Navigating collinear superspace

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We introduce a new set of effective field theory rules for constructing Lagrangians with N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 supersymmetry in collinear superspace. In the standard superspace treatment, superfields are functions of the coordinates x μ θ α θ † α ⋅ $$ \

Chiral Structure of Baryon and Scalar Tetraquark Currents

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
We investigate chiral properties of local fields of baryons consisting of three quarks with flavor SU(3) symmetry. We construct explicitly independent local threequark fields belonging to definite Lorentz and flavor representations.
